Ballet Havasu Etiquette & Policies
Welcome to Ballet Havasu! We are so excited to share our love of dance with your family. To maintain a focused, respectful, and professional environment for all dancers, we ask that you take a moment to review the following studio policies and etiquette expectations. These values are the foundation of our studio culture and help dancers grow both artistically and personally.
⭐ General Studio Etiquette
At Ballet Havasu, we believe that how you behave in class matters just as much as how you perform on stage. We are training not only strong dancers, but also responsible young people.
Arrive on time, dressed in uniform with hair secured and ready to learn.
Be respectful to instructors, fellow students, and yourself.
Listen carefully and follow instructions the first time they are given.
Keep a positive attitude, even when working through challenging material.
No talking during class unless it is a question relevant to the lesson.
No leaning, sitting, or hanging on the barre unless directed.
Gum, food, or drinks (other than water) are not allowed in the dance rooms.
Clean up after yourself, including water bottles and personal items.
🎓 Note: Etiquette is a major factor in dancer evaluations. In order to progress to the next level, dancers must show consistent classroom behavior and discipline in addition to technical ability.
👗 Dress Code & Hair Policy
We require a studio uniform to encourage discipline, eliminate distractions, and promote unity. Each level has an assigned leotard color. Dancers who are not in proper uniform may be asked to observe class.
All dancers must wear pink ballet tights and pink canvas ballet shoes.
Leotards must be the correct color for your dancer’s level.
Skirts are optional but must be either black or match the leotard color.
Hair must be neatly secured in a bun. If hair is too short, it must be pulled into a slick low ponytail.
Only dance-appropriate warm-ups may be worn during barre and must be removed after.
No dangling jewelry, crop tops, or streetwear is allowed in class.

📅 Attendance & Pointe Requirements
Consistent attendance is key to progress. Please notify the studio via email if your dancer will miss class.
Pointe dancers are required to take a minimum of two ballet technique classes per week to maintain eligibility and safety.
Make-up classes may be offered depending on availability and with prior notice.
🧍 Parent Viewing & Involvement
Tiny Toes & Twirls: Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate in class with their dancer.
Ballet Beginnings: Parents are invited to quietly observe through our studio’s observation window.
All Levels: Studio lobby is available to wait in during classes.
Please refrain from entering the studio rooms during class unless invited by the instructor.
